Everything about this place is JUST PERFECT, the food, drinks, atmosphere, service....music
I was there for Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious and the Mamosa’s were flowing for an hour and a half. The DJ kept the atmosphere energetic and the dance floor full.
Their brunch special was amazing , unlimited mimosas or sangria. Amazing overall skirt steak with eggs. The party vibe was on the entire time with plenty of dancing and a live DJ.
Being a first timer in New York as soon as I landed I needed a great go to spot with awesome happy hour specials and have the feel of a great New York adventure start. That's when I ended up in this amazing gem on Dyckman St When I was recommended is a must to go bar hopping strip. I was walking by and automatically greeted and welcomed by Vian which received me and made the night flow well. Everyone had such an energized vibe and music was great. It absolutely felt like I had landed in New York.
I was then suggested and invited to come by for Brunch on Sunday. After, such an amazing happy hour experience I could only imagine how Sunday Brunch would've been. It was great the food was amazing, drinks were on point, and music once again was as great as Friday night. This restaurant has a cozy setting. My food recommendation are their exquisite ribs and el barcaso de mariscos. Next time I visit this will definitely be my first stop!
Excellent food and service and the music is amazing I liked the environment of this place .I want to go again ???Best Brunch food ???????
Hard to believe no one has reviewed this place yet. Maybe cause residents go by word of mouth or by reputation, but it is so good I would travel to Inwood for it and bring friends. I had the skirt steak with rice and beans and it was extraordinary. A little salty but I'm sure you can ask for things to be adjusted. The staff is extremely accommodating and the decor is superb. The dish presentation in itself is fabulous. And the food so far tastes as good as it looks. The drinks are good too. I wasn't sure what to get so I asked for something with whiskey in it and I got a peach schnapps-whiskey sour concoction that was sweet and tasty. Just gets loud as hell in there later in the evening. And I was there on a Thursday. Also, they serve hookah. I mean its got it all, def worth the trip.
I was equally surprised that this place had not been reviewed yet when I tried to check in and didn't find anything, I was going to review it and got beaten to it =-)
Went on date and this was the only place that was not crowded, so I definetely liked that.
The place is cute and we got to sit outside and people watch (that wasn't great).
The service was great, we had a few waiters and waitresses constantly coming to check in and make sure our drinks were always filled.
The drinks were ok, I had the mango margarita which was cool, nothing special, then I had the "Pat'e Palo" which I personally did not like at all,BACARDI ROCK COCONUT RUM, BACARDI SUPERIOR RUM, COCONUT PUREE, LIME JUICE, COCONUT WATER & ORANGE BLOSSOM WATER. and I had the "Pirate" that was yummy, which was HENNESSY V.S. MUDDLED ORANGE, PASSION FRUIT PUREE, PINEAPPLE JUICE, FRESH LEMON JUICE, INFUSED SYRUP & ORANGE BITTERS.
The food was good, I had the Pollo Navo: Chicken in primavera sauce, with mash potatoes and Porto wine reduction. And for desert the tiramisu so0o00o0o good!!!!
Yes, I will be back, it's a lil jem in the Heights with not too much hype, I love it!!!
Went for drinks tonight and overall, it was a great experience. The service was stellar and wine was good. We'll be back.
The best restaurant in the dyckman strip. Quality wise , creative wise and just plain taste way it's far beyond superb. A must go
I had my baby shower here in February and I was very pleased with everything. We had 30 guests and it was truly the perfect place for my event. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves for a baby shower brunch on a Saturday. The restaurant decor is simple yet pretty and it did not require much decoration. Everyone loved the food and had good time. I am very happy with how everything turned out.
Walked in after a nice walk in inwood park with the hubby and Alex our waiter was super nice and attentive. I really enjoyed the Matador and the Bahia from the cocktail menu.
The great music and interior caught our eye from the sidewalk. Decided to step in and were really impressed with the lunch pre fixe brunch/lunch menu - including cocktails! Cool mix of Brazilian and Caribbean vibes and our bartender, Alex, was great.
Had a nice drink and some delicious food after a walk around Inwood Park. Scarlet offered excellent service
Scarlet was amazing! Frozen margarita was exactly what I wanted on a hot day and the chicken mofongo was delicious. Will definitely come back!
After a lovely day walking around the park in Inwood, my comrades and I happened upon this locale, craving a refreshing cocktail. We sat down and immediately received splendid service by Scarlet. I tried the coconut mojito, which was sweet and light, with a fresh dose of mint. I also tried the caprese salad and the chicken mofongo, both of which were delectable. When I come back to Inwood, I look forward to returning to this spot!
A friend and I stopped in for an eArly dinner. Let me tell you, excellent service and the food is DELISH. We sat outside and drank, ate and laughed until the night fell.
We will be back.
This place is by far the best restaurant on the strip ! I have had almost every dish on the menu and I was blown away by the pure artistry these Chefs display time in and time out. Their drinks are amazing (Coconut Mojito ). There dynamic mix of exotic flavors make my mouth water writing this review.
Great place I definitely recommend coming here you will not regret it. Wish there were more places like this!
I love this place. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is great. I recommend Pat'e Palo for their karaoke nights on Fridays.
Good place to have a drink, kick back and enjoy the show.
After an after-work event turned sour, my colleagues and I wandered to this little spot to salvage our evening. Needless to say, Pat'e Palo came through for us.
First off, they had several flavors of mojito, from passion fruit to strawberry (including original, of course). I has a guava mojito for the first time in my life, and it was delicious. Very refreshing and not too sweet. Because it was happy hour, my drink was only $5 - what a bargain!
The Barquillo Duo was like nothing I had ever eaten before. The plantains were crunchy and formed little cups, which were filled with a seafood-creamy sauce mixture. One cup had crab and the other had conch meat. The dish was tasty and a good size for one person as a smaller entree.
I loved the outdoor seating. Pat'e Palo has a fair number of al fresco tables, which is great for people-watching on a sunny day.
The drinks were good and strong. Food was amazing. Food presentation a plus. Will def be back.
This place is amazing a bit empty today, but it's only Tuesday so it's understandable for a place on this end of the strip. The theme is real woody all around amazing place filled with seats 360 all around. The lights above the bar is nice wood lamps that's pretty cool. The DJ plays great music and the speakers sound pretty Damm good.
The bar has a nice flat screen 60 inch TV. Right in the center of it, So if your in for a sport night best seats are the bar ones.
Free entrance no charge that's great, Dyckman needed another great spot since most of the places out here are played out. Which most of them are overly packed on any other day. Really exited about this new location. They have so much potential just need a few fixtures.
Bartender is great a beautiful young lady name Walkirys. She can be pushy sometimes and will rush you into buying drinks which i find that a bit odd for a place were you just want to come in order a drink and relax!. While i was by the bar ordering drinks talking to a friend she kept on coming to us and asking us to buy more drinks we are drinking to slow! like really?
So we decided to leave the bar since more friends came and wanted to sit down so we order more drinks, After about 30 minutes she comes back to the area were we where sitting and again tries to push us into buying more drinks. Felt really uncomfortable after a while.
We also came across a buzzer by the name of peter, He was real nice really helpful and great personality.
Next time maybe coming in for Brunch or for a nice dinner at the patio section. I'm a fan so ill be coming here next time.
Hope i have a great experience.
We had drinks and appetizer. Service was slow, but the waitress was very nice. Parcha margarita was on point . The music was also good. Will definitely come back.
This place deserves 100 stars. They truly single handily SAVED my birthday! They saw us waiting for a reservation next door for a party of 19! They gave us a free hookah and seated us ASAP. Danny the owner was sooooo amazing! Everyone was great food was amazing and bottomless drinks were great! I thank them ALL for such an amazing brunch experience they really saved my birthday! My entire party was soooo happpy, thank you to Danny and his crew! Please BOOK A RESERVATION HERE! Lit on Sunday!
Disclaimer - I didn't eat here. I came here with a group of 7 heads and didn't have any problems getting in. The music here is absolutely incredible on Saturday nights. There were so many beautiful faces and the drinks were poured very strong. Hookah's were excellent here and went for the standard $30. Refills are $15. The owner was very welcoming and made sure that everyone here had a good time.
I've heard great things about the food here and look forward to the opportunity to try them out.
Hey food was 7-10, the service was really good better than most restaurants in the area.Thank you GIDARTE, myself and my partner enjoyed everything
Great food, beautiful people, empanadas are Amazing, good atmosphere, had a live DJ for Sunday brunch, get the rum punch
Me & my fianc had brunch here the food was great service was quick and amazing Vien who wasnt even our server was amazing making sure our mimosa was always full, we were enjoying our meals and provided great convo will be returning for Sunday brunch soon!
Amazing service. Sunday brunch to celebrate our anniversary. Our cups were never empty. Super attentive service from every single person;from the host to bartenders to servers. I have been here 3 times already, service and meals always perfect. Refreshing to find such great service in this often entitled service area. Highly recommend!! Just want to add Roger our server, was super attentive and nice.
This nice place, great food and attention, very comfortable and nice music !!! I was treated excellently by Yelena in the Barra and Benjaminel waiter !!!
I liked the place very cozy, the food is very good especially the delicious ribs, very good drinks and the guys are very attentive.
It is a small place, but very cozy and beautiful. I love the food, excellent the seafood casserole and very good attentions
Yesterday was my first time in this place and I just love it, the atmosphere is really good and the service better, the bartender was very nice (I think her name was Yelena) and she made the best mojito ever y also eat their seafood casserole and it was amazing. I definitely come back soon.
The food was good, calamari a bit saggy but ok . Good drinks good Dj.! Not crowded if you get there early which is a good thing.
Went here last year on a Wednesday night and had an amazing time. Best Passion Fruit Mojitos and I just loved the live music. Hoping to visit again soon.
Cannot beat Pat'e Palo Brunch. Good vibes, food, DJ and most importantly great hookah as well too.
Came here on a Monday Night. They have outdoor seating which seemed pretty cute. The place was fairly empty with a couple of tables being occupied both outside and inside. The moment we came in we were greeted with a smile and great attention. We were seated and we both had an entree and a drink. they also have Hookah there must bring cash for that. the food had great flavor and although i got the mangu with seafood option but since i didnt want seafood i asked if they can put chicken instead. The waiter gladly said they could accommodate. this place has many seafood options so if you are a seafood eater i would suggest coming here. drinks were very tasty as well. As far as hookah it was great flavor and was smooth. i would come here again and they do have a sunday brunch option.
Dropped in here for drinks after going to the Cloisters. Sat on the patio and have an enjoyable time. Wait staff were attentive. And the washrooms were very clean. Can highly recommend this as an after museum place to grab a casual drink on a nice patio.
Favorite spot on the strip, really amazing food, great drinks, good music and hookah what more could u ask for. Food came out promptly, desert was perfect, couldn't be more pleased. The menu is pretty good, the skirt steak is my favorite.
We took my boyfriend's mother here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it! Great food, great ambience, great music! We will definitely be coming back!
Dyckman has always been known as a lively area full of bars and restaurants where you are guaranteed to have a good time. I can hear someone complaining The Heights and Inwood is too far, but it is only an extra 20 minutes from 125th via subway. I recently visited Pat'e Palo which is a Latin restaurant located on this bustling street for dinner where I left full and happy.
Pat'e Palo celebrates every day that ends in "y" from their Margarita Tuesday to Gotham Saturdays to the Sunday Brunch. The best way to keep up with their daily events is via their Instagram. They typically have a DJ on specific nights and hookah is always available to order any day. This Dyckman establishment has an indoor and outdoor seat, and multiple TVs at their bar are so you don't miss your favorite game.
So let's get down to business and talk about the food and drinks we enjoyed at Pat'e Palo. Their cocktail menu includes over 10 different types of tasty libation such as your typical margarita to their signature drink called Pat'e Palo. This drink included Bayou rum, coconut rum, coconut puree, lime juice, orange blossom water, and garnished with toasted coconut. I am not a big fan of coconut, but this drink was so good it had me reconsidering my life choices plus how can you pass up anything made with orange blossom water? I had several of their passion-fruit mojitos, and they come in other flavors such as coconut, guava, strawberry, and kiwi.
The menu at Pat'e Palo has plenty of options, but I would encourage you to leave Vegan or Vegetarian Victoria at home. For starters, we ordered the Botin Pat'e Palo which is an appetizer platter that includes chicken wings, empanadas, croquettas, grilled shrimp, and pork loin. This platter is big enough to feed 3 -4 people as well. For my entree, I ordered the Montana Redonda which is a lobster tail served on top of rib-eye steak and served with Malanga mash in a cream cognac bisque. I had seen this entree on their Instagram and highly recommend getting the steak prepared medium. My friends ordered the Pechunga Rellena and Churrasso Anclado, and they both enjoyed each dish. I will mention the portions are rather large and filling so I recommend going light on the appetizers. With barely any room left in my stomach, we ordered Flan and Tres Leches for dessert.
The level of service we experienced was great at Pat'e Palo thanks to our server Benjamin and the owner! If you are in The Heights, I encourage you to check them out!
Amazing time at brunch!!! The food was excellent and our waiter Christian was great. We recommend the churrasc was cooked to perfection and the drinks were the best. I would definitely come back.
Very cool and low spot for good food and good music. The waiter sat me and my group promptly and was very helpful and attentive. I believe his name was Carlos. I had been invited by a colleague and he wasn't lying about how cool this place was and how close it was to where I live. Started the night with a round of Modela's with a shot of Amaretto and never looked back. I can definitely see myself going back.
I love this spot! I highly recommend it. The food is great, music, hookah, and service is amazing! I will definitely be coming back often. :)
The best brunch in dykeman! $30 for brunch and unlimited drinks for 2 hours and Scarlett is the best bartender! Definitely coming back again !
Omg best brunch!!!! Love the energy the music the food!!!! scarlet u were the cherry on top of a successful brunch. I highly recommend this place! They def earned a returning customer!
Wonderful bar! Came here for my birthday and they treatment me like family. I definetly recommend getting the bottomless mimosas it's better for your money. Shout out to Scarlet for hooking me up.
Really great atmosphere. The music gets you in the mood to dance. And the food is amazing. The ceviche appetizer is really flavorful. Definitely recommend.
Bartender Scarlett was really nice too. She was really attentive to our party of 6 people.
Visited this Dominican cuisine restaurant for my graduation June 2018 with a large group It was about 2pm and they were hosting lunch specials that included frozen margaritas. So, we had to order the whole prices drink. Every time we intended to order something from the special menu they claimed the machine was not working. Moreover, the food was great, place is well structured, outside dining is offered good music.
What can i say? When you brunch you are adulting right. However you cannot just go to any brunch spot. You have to go to a pristine restaurant like Pat'e Palo Bar & Grill. This spot is fantastic for brunch. You can try mimosa or sangria. Both are great and the food is made nice. I liked the soup they had for the appetizer.
the service was great. at night it turns lit too, def check this spot out!
Omgg our server was amazing! He was so genuine, and sweet! The food was AMAZINGG and the drinks were good too! The centerpieces for the table was in the way but we just moved it over. Everything was great though!! Definitely recommend, it's a 10 min walk from The Met.
My husband and I tried this place at 5:30pm, which is early for the dinner rush. Whenever we pass this place, it is usually packed with people sitting outside if it's a nice day. There's always music playing, as it is so with most of the restaurants on this street and the next. My favorite from what we ordered was probably the skirt steak with the mash potatoes. It was seasoned well and not too fatty (which is how I enjoy my steak). I LOVED the chimichuri that came with the steak. We combined a bite of steak with a bite of the crab to make a sort of deconstructed surf and turf. It actually went really well together; Perfect combination of salt and spice. Definitely recommend trying this place if you're in the area!
Food was good ordered the marisco mofongo a few months back, the only negative was that I saw a roach on the wall.
I came to Pat'r Palo for my birthday last year, it was sooooooo good that I didn't find another place that could compete with them for this year's celebration.
It was an awesome evening. Their bottomless brunch has GREAT items plus an AWESOME price for both adults and kids.
I had Ceviche, the best ceviche I have tried at a restaurant. For entree I had Churrasco, it was as delicious as I remembered, maybe better than Last year's.
Their brunch goes for 1 hour and a half, somehow, we ended up getting like 2 and a half hours, our waiter Benjamin was the best!!!
They also go around with a bottle of Tequila and shots cups and give you free shots for you to enjoy even more, they gave me three and I had to stop them cause I didn't want to get wasted.
I LOVE Pat'e Palo, their ambiance is the best, their service is more than excellent. I would come every Sunday if I could. The best!!!!!!!
Exceptional restaurant. The food is made fresh daily and you can taste the height quality produce they use on the food. Definitely a gem everyone should try
This place was great! The food was amazing and filling. The service was awesome. Good job Jose Rodriguez(chef) and Carl(Owner).
I Came here for brunch last weekend and it was absolutely amazing! non stop music and mimosas. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was simply awesome. Thank You Pate PALO I will be back
Food is absolutely delicious, usually have a selected daily happy hour special. Frozen drinks are great...amazing desserts...hookah available all night. A really lively restaurant...great place for birthdays or any other type of celebrations.
Make a reservation! Food was awesome, service was great and music... AMAZING!
Great food and beautiful hostess
Great place , great food all in all just a vibe..
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. I'll definitely be repeat customer.
Great food and turns into a night club at night!
Busy place on a Friday night. Great food and drinks. Parking is typical Washington Heights. Small in the inside, but the outdoor seating accommodates, especially on nice summer night. Nice music, a little loud at times, but great if you sit outdoors. And there is Hookah for the hookah lovers.
